Of course it doesn’t factor in resilience, which City has in abundance - and a lack of which undid us last season. But based on just our performances I am comfortable with the idea of Arsenal as favorites

Not sure about that, Liverpool have been dire this season. I had said they’d easily get top four earlier this year but I’m not so sure now, even United look a better team. That midfield has gone from being dominant to an absolute shit show and it’s badly exposing their back line.

enough of a sample size to say we've been the best overall team in the league thus far. arteta has the team humming on auto-pilot. the boys are playing with authority and belief, they look capable of going into almost any fixture and getting a result. only key injuries could cause a major stifling of momentum

16 games is still an incredibly small sample really. Liverpool aren’t as strong as they were last season, but they’re still the 2nd best side in the country.

James in football, typically by 12 games you have a very predictive model. Most models also incorporate previous season data for predictions before 10 games and then go fully in-season after that.

We are the best team in the league.

As for Liverpool. They’re probably the 4th best team in the league, and should eventually get there. Their attacking and defensive fundamentals suggest this. United are still shaky. I think removing CR7 will help greatly though.

Based on this seasons showing we are at least the 2nd best team, both on paper and performance. Could be first if we beat City in Feb.

Annoying a little that we got robbed at United and Southampton by refereeing errors. Could be 12 points clear ffs

Let me give you guys some stats.

This is the first time the #Arsenal have won on both Boxing Day and New Year's Eve in the same season since 1988-89.
In 89, Arsenal have a very young squad like this year
They had a former Arsenal player coming back as a head coach
They had a Thomas playing in midfield...

Big Willie weird, but this is the first team to outplay us in the middle of the park. Espoaftervwr took out our starting fullbacks. We were just more dangerous in the box, and had Odegaard and Paetey penetrating.

@Claudius found it. Look at that. didn't take me long to find as it was at the 6 minute mark. At that point we were 1-0 up and on the front foot and almost scored a second but they still predicted Brighton had an equal chance of winning lol.
