He will be well aware that despite a bad start we stuck with him and given him a lot of power at the club. Power he wouldn't get at Barca and the expectations would be sky high. Xavi done well last season and after a bad run this season in the CL already rumours are going around, people there have no loyalty and ruthless.

I'd like to think Arteta knows he has plenty of years in him and will stay here for a good few years before trying his luck elsewhere. He hasn't really achieved that much at this club anyway so lets hope he wins something!

Barcelona at current state looks like a very risky job.

They've pushed their economics/financials to the brink of collapse, and I wouldn't trust their board at all. The arrogance is still there, and now it's matched by finger pointing and buck passing. Their squad seems disjointed, and while so far this season they've looked decent in La Liga, they will only be good for 2nd because of Atletico's collapse.

Still, there's some promise with a front 3 that can feature Lewandowski, Dembele, and Fati, and a midfield that has Gavi, Pedri, and De Jong.

Need to keep the structure and purpose strong, and make sure we don't lose Edu and Arteta at the same time. Beyond that it'll probably be normal coaches changing every few seasons.

Thankfully our board had more faith in him than the fans did.

He obviously loves the club so hearing the vile trash most of us were saying about him must’ve hurt him a bit. Thankfully it was mostly online because the matchgoing fans have always been pretty supportive.

Jeez, his name was getting sang every week and we still had people throwing their toys out and leaving here when he signed his latest contract, didn’t we?

I can’t see him leaving anytime soon. He hasn’t achieved anything close to what he wants to and i don’t think he’ll consider shooting off until he does it or it’s clear he can’t. Hopefully he’s here for many years more. This is the best shape the club has been in for over a decade and he’s responsible for a lot of it.

All seriousness, I don't think there's too many left to quibble with whether Arteta should stay on after our most successful start to a season of all time. Very happy it's working out for him and Arsenal at the moment, but the club's objective should be for no coach to be untouchable.

Feel like tactically we have gone up a few levels. Better players obviously helps but we are suffocating teams alot more consistently now and minimizing the risks with turnovers etc..

Arteta is upping his game along with the players, becoming a bit of a tactical wizard.

Who would be Arteta Out when we're sitting 1st in the league?

I think he can improve with regards to rotation and giving the second string more game time in the league but he hasn't really done or said anything wrong this season. Doesn't mean I've forgotten the mistakes and poor decisions from last season or how repulsive his gloating fans still are but that's secondary on how to rate him today.

Big question how he handles key players getting injured. #5 out for a couple months and I reckon we fall apart.

Rodri out for a couple of weeks would hit City hard. Fabinho's decline is one of Liverpool's biggest issues at the moment. Players capable of handling that single pivot are rare and when they're out their teams struggle.

It's all about having better players. It's hilarious people said Arteta couldn't coach creative football when we didn't have a creative player after Ozil fell off.

The same manager had shit bags like Luiz and Pepe executing his tasks. Now we have Saliba and Saka.

Yep. So much bs said about him has thankfully fallen by the way side, I do think he is on a journey as well and improving as a manager with the team, plenty of challenges ahead... Although, would be surprised if there are still some who think they were right to want him sacked when we where struggling....
