This is what I'm seeing as well. It's finishing, though, that has been the problem. Finishing and final ball are just not good enough, which results in these ridiculous scorelines when the opposition inevitably gets a lucky freak goal.

They managed more shots in that half than us.

They are both one off double figures in the league. Considering their age, positions, goalscoring record and the team/manager they play for, I'd say they've done really well.

Their output has been one of our positives this season.

Seriously what's the point of playing that ball to Saka like Cedric just did? He's immediately marked and has no angle because he's literally intercepting it on the sideline. Where the fuck is that ball ever going to go except off the opponent's leg?

Exactly. Even our wingers are depending on their own individual brilliance. We don't give them any platform to perform consistently through our style

I think it was a slight mistake to bench Smith-Rowe when he was in such good goalscoring form by the way. We've averaged less than a goal per game since then and he lost his form. Maybe he would have done that anyway, but it feels a bit like we made it happen. His off-the-ball movement is arguably the best in the squad too, and we need it to prevent us from becoming too static.

We have midgets galore in the box and all we are doing is crossing aimlessly in for soton defenders to eat for lunch and dinner.

If not we go to the left to try and beat Walker Peters without any success then pass back all the way to Gabriel.

We are not adventurous enough. Even now. Too cautious with and without the ball. Not enough men in the box when we cross and we have done that a lot, the full backs don't over lap, they support but don't go beyond the wide men. We lack top quality without Partey but that excuse isn't enough.
