Front line isn't the problem, it's the midfield and defence and how slow they are at moving the ball. Same problem as Brighton. Hold, hold, hold, sideways pass.

Our main problem is everywhere. No concentration in the backline, no balls or conviction to move the ball quickly to the frontline no nothing. Including today we've scored two goals in our last five games against Palace Villa Brighton and Southampton, one of them a massive deflection.

ESR's and Saka's goal outputs always seemed a bit too good, and like they were masking fundamental flaws in our game. Feels like we are regressing to our true level. Injuries obviously are a big part, but not an excuse given the lack of Europe.

We were actually doing alright in the attack today - too blunt in-between Cedric's setpieces and Forster's saves, but we were fluid in our movement and overloaded the left flank really well with Eddie and Tavares. Southampton had no response to that for 40 minutes and then we went and gifted them a goal out of nothing. Makes you want to cry.

And the person setting our attack up. Its very clear our strikers is feeding on scraps most of the time for the past 2 years. Our eyes and the stats support it.

Laca is poor but sub Nketiah in and he is equally isolated up front with zero service

This is what I'm seeing as well. It's finishing, though, that has been the problem. Finishing and final ball are just not good enough, which results in these ridiculous scorelines when the opposition inevitably gets a lucky freak goal.

The difference between Eddie and Laca is the movement though. Eddie keeps working the channels if the balls aren't coming through the middle.
