It's deeply ironic that we're missing a goalscorer, a midfielder and a fullback so badly right now while we're paying a striker to score weekly for Barca and loaning an excellent utility man to Roma.

the whole attacking system in recent months has been based on the partey-odegaard pipeline, sprinkled with moments of brilliance from our young wingers, and laca chipping in with some decent 9.5 play. all of that has broken down now. not sure where we finish up now

You can argue that these millionaires don't need someone to motivate them etc yada yada but it flies in the face of how all teams do everywhere. You can criticise performances like ESR sure but when the whole team puts in a showing like this the problem sits elsewhere

Paying Aubameyang to leave while we have one proven goalscorer in the squad (and he's on the bench for 70+ minutes every week) without getting a replacement in was fucking mad. So was not getting a midfielder in two transfer windows, it's not like Partey's injury woes are a new thing. Horrible, horrible decision making and unfortunately it looks like Arteta isn't good enough to make up for those self-made problems after all.

Two of those were from a corner and the ESR chance was assisted by a Brighton player. We created absolutely fuck all from open play. At home. Against Brighton. It's embarassing.

The goal was offside - do you not understand how football works? If it's offside it does not count.

The other chances we're all half chances at best. If you think otherwise you must not watch much football.
