Sounds pretty bland too tbh. The recipes I'm finding online are just mutton, cabbage and pepper, is that really it?

Simple recipes can be fine, plenty of good dishes don't have too many ingredients but I can't think of any where the only "spice" used is salt and/or pepper. The thing that distinguishes man from animal is the use of fire and spices in the kitchen.

Also who names a soup "cock-a-leekie" 😆 recipe looks ok but sounds seriously gross. People north of the Channel really can't be left around unattended in the kitchen can they

Salt and pepper - the cornerstone of Norwegian cuisine. 😆

To be fair nobody I know really eat much traditional Norwegian food outside of holidays. It's mostly gen X and older who still do. Although I do like fårikål the few times I eat it even if it's very simple and not something I've ever considered making myself.

Anyway, reckon we can at least get a draw here. Would be a great bonus to stop Liverpool from getting the title.

Dunno about staple meals, but neo-Nordic cuisine is some of the best I've ever tasted and I've been around. I was going to go with pickled smoked herring above, but I've got no idea what Norwegians actually eat ...

Definitely not attending a Burns supper after reading this 😆 not to say it's all bad, I've had some decent meals in Copenhagen and Stockholm especially fish but not even remotely close to "some of the best ever", neither traditional nor the neo-cuisine where I've seen some ridiculous stuff like maggot or larvae stew.

No offence to any present Scandinavians, not your fault either it's just living where few herbs or spices grow your cuisine range automatically shrinks, German cuisine is already very meh and Denmark etc are all a cool 10 degrees colder on average.

It's the perfect game from an Arsenal fans point of view. A big game with lot riding on it for both teams, yet also one we can afford to lose. We're also in great form so can be justified in expecting a good game.

To be fair the last time we lost to them at home with fans was August 2016 when Holding and Chambers were in our central defence. Got a pretty good recent home record against them.

They've just got so many ways they can hurt you, it makes them a little frightening. That said, we've evolved a fair way from the "give it to Saka and see what he can come up with" mode of attack, so I'm hopeful - not expecting - that we can get something out of tonight. Certainly, if we play like we did against City (though I'm not sure how realistic it is to expect that) and keep 11 on the pitch, we've got a chance.

Would be a bit unpleasant if Klopp's figured out some unexpected way to neutralise Artetaball, but we're pretty lively ourselves at the moment, might even find they're a bit cautious.

I think he's already has to an extent, they flooded the middle at Anfield, something which Partey had real problems dealing with. We have an in form Partey and Odegaard now though so I expect us to cope with that side better.
