We've scored 74% more league goals than them. Mind-boggling considering they're only two points behind and how few we score ourselves.
Well, we've also conceded 56% more so not that mind-boggling imo.
Started to wonder if it really was a bit anomalous for a team to have this many points with so few goals, all else being equal.
Wolves had the lowest season long goals–points ratio of any team last season, which was 0.8.
They are currently tracking at 0.56.
Nearest this season is Brighton currently, 0.77. We are at 0.92.
Think it counts as noteworthy. They're having a bit of a weird one.
They’re lack of goals is surprising given the quality they have - especially in wide areas
Come on Arsenal, don't mess this up now...
Top 4 is there for the taking. The teams around us are shit and we just need to be less shit for the next 15 games or so. Not optimistic but I think there is a chance.
Looking forward to tonight. Although, slight dread if it goes badly because I know there is a chunk of the fanbase that's ready to pounce, and that would be sad state of affairs. I'm hoping everyone comes back recharged, and that we can see these boys flying:
if we don't turn up, it's fair for people to have the hump. we're coming off a rough January on a number of levels, and a poor performance here raises red flags, and not unfairly either
we hit something of a low point with the everton and man u games, then went on our best run of the season. we need another response like that. arteta has just about been able to extricate himself from these pickles each time they've happened. hopefully we can start fresh after this training break and go on a run
After the Aubameyang melodrama it'd be great to see both a spirited run-out from the players and a good outcome.
Getting to fourth is "in our hands" for the first time in quite a while given recent results.
Really hope we take to the field tonight looking like we're eager to take the opportunity rather than collapsing under the weight of expectation. That's been a trait of ours for the best part of a decade. Need to take to the field with some confidence.

could be anything with us right now. We've definitely taken the initiative before but we're just as likely to balls it up ala Mancs match.
United game is a good example of what I'm talking about. We started well against them but froze up after going ahead, that lack of conviction and feeling of inevitability that we're going to fail is what we need to shed.
Coversely, the West Ham game gives me hope. That was billed as a big game, and we went out there and ate them for breakfast from the start. There was less pressure on the City game, but pundits and fans were talking about it being a big test, and although it didn't work out in the end, we certainly played without any fear.
The atmosphere in the West Ham game was superb from min 1, makes a huge difference. Same with City despite the timing of the game.
Doing it in an away game or a game where things feel a little more flat is another ball game. They have to derive that confidence and enthusiasm from within themselves.
Our home matches are so few and far between I think the atmosphere will be excellent for them for the rest of the season, at least while theres something to play for.
You are right about the away games though, thats where the players need to do it themselves.
Lineup looks decent aside from Cedric.
Zach Awe makes the bench for the first time...
Arsenal: Ramsdale, Tierney, White, Soares, Gabriel, Partey, Xhaka, Martinelli, Saka, Odegaard, Lacazette. Subs: Okonkwo, Smith Rowe, Holding, Pepe, Tavares, Lokonga, Elneny, Nketiah, Awe.
I thought Tomiyasu would make it. 🙁
Tierney needs to be less basic tonight because God knows Cedric handicaps us on the other side.
The return of the Xhaka.
How long until Xhaka does something Xhaka?
It's good to see Partey and Xhaka back together tbf.
