Is it all a dream, or do we actually have a football match coming up?
After the debacle of the fruitless winter window, having seen the tattered remnants of our roster cruising along in Dubai, we return to the cold and rain.
A win for Wolves would send them ahead of us in the table.
I'm not quite going to call this a must win, but after over a week of hollow litigation of Arteta's tenure as our manager and Aubameyang's departure, it feels like a must win. A loss here would raise searching questions about the whole slow grind of the remainder of this season, with far too long between matches to ponder our frailties.
Xhaka and Partey will both be available having served their suspensions, while Tomiyasu is unlikely to feature as he continues to work off his calf injury. A question is whether White should move to the right with Holding covering him, or we should go with the insipid Soares.
Wolves, like us, didn't add anyone of note during the window. They're anything but a free-scoring side—in fact it's a miracle that they've got as many points as they do with so few goals. Here's hoping we starve them and feast ourselves.
