I don't think he has time to believe. What I do believe is that he doesn't make that challenge if he is already on a yellow.

I can understand if its a red card offence next, but its a soft yellow where refs normally give a warning first before a 2nd yellow and commentator said he has never seen that before in 40 years of watching football. Neither have I. It's ridiculous.

I haven't either, but I can't say I remember a situation where a player makes two fouls like that in one play so it doesn't matter much if I haven't seen it given.

We did this well against City even if we conceded in the end. This is a far easier job because they're one of the worst attacking teams in the league.

That is how I see it too. Two separate offences both "worth" a yellow card. Having said that, I also have never seen such a situation before so it is possible that on technicality Gabi shouldn't have received red. Arteta should have resolved the problem of stupid cards long time ago ( if I remember correctly we were six red cards ahead of second team since Arteta took over and since then we received two more).
