The next 5- time to consolidate?

Unbelievably this run of 5 games takes us all the way up to mid March, and while there's talk of Wolves (h) added in between, for the time being this is what we have:

Burnley (h) - 20th
Wolves (a) - 8th
Brentford (h) - 14th
Watford (a) - 17th
Leicester (h) - 10th

Great chance to really make a move to embed ourselves in the top four and possibly even top 3 with that run of games. I think we should be aiming for 13-15 points to ease the pressure a little on the final third of the season. In isolation every single one of these games should be wins.

I think we'll end up with 13.

Wolves away could be tricky but the rest should be wins.

We got 18 games left, how many wins will get us top 4 aka 70 points? Prob at least 12

Edit: Ok maybe by some miracle we fight for top6, top 4 is out of the question with Arteta as coach

Playing like shit? I guess you missed the games post Everton away till Notts Forest.

We are not relegation fodder mate, for sure quality is enough to win some games easily. Those games are won despite of Arteta, not thanks to him.

No, I do not think we are in the race for top 4, top 6 is possible if we do not implode what we have been doing regularly every few months under Arteta, so I'd say even top 6 is unlikely.

IMO we need to get 12-15 points IF we are to seriously challenge for top4 this season. Problem being we have only won 4 consecutive EPL games once this season, and that included the EFLC games v Sunderland to make it a run of 5 wins in all comps. As it stands I do not think the match day squad has the depth to do so without having our best XI starting every game, let alone having the quality to sustain performance levels required. We need to be able to not only win to take the points, but we also need consistency in our performances to put pressure on the other contenders, particularly TH.

Need to turn things around against Burnley and see a few of the youngsters delivering again.

I'm going to optimistically predict 12, but if things don't go our way this weekend it'll be tough, could easily see getting a measly point from the next two.

Signings will play a part, and it feels a bit like we're not going to get the miracle striker we need.

a few more make up games might be sprinkled in to make it 7 or 8.

Really 15 was what we should have been targeting, 13 as the floor. No more room for error and feels based on opposition we have dropped behind in terms of expected outcomes.
