Just looked it up, nah it wasn't the world cup but the euros. He played as their first choice LB.

I remember because he was such a bulky and strong player and couldn't really run agile enough up and down for a LB role. He was already very highly rated then but as a LB

Brighton are in negotiations to sign Billy Gilmour from Chelsea. It will have to be a permanent deal due to the new loan signing rules.

Everton are closing in on signing Man United's young central midfielder James Garner for £15m. Garner had an impressive season on loan last year to help Forest win promotion to premier league.

Southampton are close to signing two more talented Man City youngsters in Sam Edozie and Juan Larios.
City have already sold Lavia and Bazunu to Saints who have impressed in the opening rounds of this season.
The moves work for Man City as all of these transfers have very reasonable buy-back clauses included.
