I wouldn't really resent Auba though.

Petit played for Chelsea as well but people don't look unfavourably towards him. In hindsight, failing to re-sign him was a tragic mistake although I don't blame Wenger as Ramsey promised so much.

Definitely won't resent Auba, especially after watching the Amazon documentary. He really wanted to stay and most of his teammates want to see him here. Even Edu and Co was trying to keep him. His only issue was with one person.

Tuchel spoke very affectionately about him so they are definitely going to try for him. Managers love Auba

If Auba had forced his way out I'd resent him but he didn't. He was treated like shit and pushed out of the club. It'll be really sad watching him play for them but I can't really blame him.

He's very good but he should stay at Everton. He'll be chewed up and spat out at Chelsea. If he keeps getting games at Everton he could really go places. Tuchel would probably move him to wing back too.

BBC says their 40m bid has been rejected. Feels like everyone's aware of how desperate Chelsea are at this time so they're betting that they'll overpay. Haven't seen him much but looked good the times I've watched.

Yup, think he needs at least another season at Everton before he should consider moving. Chelsea is a very tough environment to thrive in, like you say I can see him getting chewed up and spat out.

Bit random but I wonder if SMS being Serbian, and Xhaka Kosovar Albanian is relevant. I know people from both sides of that conflict and it's a big deal for them. Xhaka once celebrated a goal against Serbia with the Albanian double-headed eagle etc.

Wolves have agreed a club record fee with Sporting with Nunes per reports from numerous sources including Ornstein. Would be quite the coup if they land him. Was linked with Liverpool earlier this summer. Be interesting to see if they can get it across the line as it seems the player has his heart set on bigger things.

Would be a good stepping stone for him as Wolves is the ultimate soft landing in English football for a young Portuguese footballer.
