Works for me. Get Tielemans or the equivalent after Zinchenko and I'm pretty pleased. Chuck Leroy in and I'll start to forget that unacceptably shit performance against Newcastle.

He has one of the best aerial stats though.

And way better than any CB they got so probably worth it

Thats not the PL though. I'm not convinced and frankly I'm glad we didn't spend that much on him.

Some smaller CBs (Only Baresi, Canavaro & Ayala come to mind) have shown they can dominate in the air despite height. Will be interesting to see if he can do that. From the videos I’ve seen not much about his aerial ability but on the ground he seems quite robust and aggressive. When they play against teams who play the longer ball will be interesting to see how he deals with that.

Not sure a small CB works in the PL, may be okay in slower paced Serie A and or teams where possession is dominated like Barca, but not in the PL.

55m initial fee is less than the 59m euros we paid for White though so not considered much at all for a highly sought after CB.

I am glad we didn't get him because we wanted him to play out of position at LB.

I'm glad we didn't get him full stop. He's not good enough as a LB or DM where we would've needed him to play and we have more than enough centre backs

Yeah just because we massively overpaid for one CB doesn't mean doing it again would have been a good idea.
