100%. This Liverpool team is past its sell by date. Plenty of teams will get at them this season, but our inexperience told.

AMN is struggling in all the same ways Lokonga and Partey did. Not much any of them could've done when they're outnumbered against Fabinho, Thiago and Ox.

Really disappointing, not the manner we were thrashed but we didn't even come close to getting at them bar Partey's long range effort. Easiest game their defence had this season

Have to say. Partey, in general, has been a really disappointing signing. Maybe its the constant injuries, but never looked more than an ok player.

Also, think we should be starting Ode from now on.. Laca has done well but we will reap the benefits medium/long term if he starts getting more minutes.

I can deal with the mistakes from the kids, I think what's disappointing is that we couldn't test them more. Our attacking threat is the one big hurdle for Arteta to get over before question marks really go away.

I also think this game just emphasised how much we could do with a top class centre mid next to Partey. I like Lokonga but he should not be a starter at this stage in such a vital position.

Yep. They were never going to take control, and it wasn't the plan. The forwards didn't do their job either.

What we could have at least expected was some kind of commitment to screening the defense. It was lackadaisical at best.

Well, that's that. Another big test failed for Arteta sadly. I question what he did as a manager today.

The selection was okay although Partey's lack of fitness raises a big question. Arteta's antics in a tense first half weren't helpful. Whatever talk he gave at half time left a crater in our organisation and spirit.

We also have several forward options we're almost completely unwilling to use with our current approach, and Arteta's rigid thinking about responsibility and "specificity" leads to that.

Hesitant to agree in the heat of a poor loss but I’ve been thinking that for a few weeks. He’s clearly had moments where he’s shown his class but I’ve been completely underwhelmed by his impact on this team. I’m not sure whether it could have been expected or not by those who knew him better, but I’d hoped he would bring a leadership, aura and control in midfield that is just missing completely.

Liverpool are a top team and Klopp is a much better manager than Arteta at present. We were outnumbered in midfield. Not a great idea in hindsight but one can understand why we went with something that was working recently. We remain strong contenders for 4th. Just put this behind and go again.

Yeah for all we love to see that fight and spirit as fans, you can gee the crowd up like that then send out your team to give the second half performance we did. Not sure anyone gets pass marks for the second half.
