USArsenal Gyokeres might be at his ceiling, but he is now bedded in fully, and having a more dynamic attack can possibly allow him to score a few more this season.
I've seen this said a few times and (surprise, surprise), I'm not convinced. He's still quite uncomfortable when receiving the ball and takes a moment to adjust himself before he sets. Given the space afforded and the pace of defenders in the PL, that moment often means he's lost the opportunity to either break free of an opponent or get his shot away. I really don't think we can underestimate quite how much time and space he was afforded in Portugal due to the less physical/athletic opposition defenders.
Case in point, I think we had quite a few moments against Dortmund where he was put through with half a yard of space and failed to create a chance.
I think the best we can hope for is that if we play with more pace and verticality, he's able to provide a few knock-downs and lay-offs for our wingers so that they can capitalise, even if it's not his forte.
