Its hard to say how good or bad Amorim is really given the circumstances and trying to distract from the ownership who have failed with every manager for over a decade now seems deliberate. Amorim isn't a genius but I'd imagine in a well structured club he'd do well enough. Uniteds a basket case.

Can't say I think it's a bad decision for United. Amorim was never gonna do anything there, the 3-4-3 obsession was pure embarrassment. And this wasn't the first time he'd flirted with trying to get himself paid out this season.

They'll have huge trouble getting anyone with the ability and temperament to fix their issues but if I were a United fan I'd see no harm in getting on with it versus sticking with a resentful coach achieving crap results.

One of the hilarious things about United's banter era is that because Fergie never recruited players for their intelligence or prior tactical education, the ranks of their former stars are embarrassingly thick. Sometimes seems like a quarter or a third of ex-Wenger signings are employed in technical roles now. Players like Carrick who were applauded for their intelligence on the pitch have had underwhelming managerial careers.

Watch these clip for better understanding, while we were losing games it was clear for those who understood football there were improvements taking place. These improvements are visible to people who have a deep understanding of the game but not so clear to casual fans. It has taken a complete squad overhaul for the level to increase but you have too many pundits like Keane who sees in black and white only.

I guess I was thinking more about how their respective Europa League finals were real harbingers of doom. If Amorim was too dogmatic to succeed at United, none of us knew Emery even had a dog.
