Three points. Not a great performance but Auba made it lot more difficult for us. Still, we're up to 5th level on points with 4th. Tough games to come but it's been a decent couple of months.

Yeal I feel the same. Unfortunate today but there was a performance in there. The rest is just margins. He could play like this in the next game and easily walk away with a brace or a hattrick.

delighted for the win, unbeaten in 10. Auba could have helped make that a more pleasurable viewing experience though. Would have been rightly slaughtered if we drew or lost

Ramsdale: Mostly untested, but still lucky it wasn't 1-1 after he got caught out of position. Seems hard to ruin his mood anyway.
Tavares: Chaos machine.
Tomiyasu: Order machine.
White and Gabriel: Like how that's working, both excellent.
AMN: Very solid. Was he actually that good? A couple of decisive moments and he has impressive awareness when on the ball.
Lokonga: Worked all day but arguably too slender to play at this level against this opposition. Two decent chances to score.
Saka: constant outlet, ran out of steam.
Lacazette: Creative, hard-working in the press, most things didn't quite come off for him, no engine.
Smith-Rowe: Our most decisive player on the ball currently, well taken goal, almost surprised he didn't get that other chance on target way he's going.
Ødegaard: Excellent player to be able to bring on, technically secure, hard-working and dangerous.
Aubameyang: Worked as hard as he has recently but totally lacked poise today. Damaging errors throughout.

Auba has been pants but it's nothing to do with the way we want to play, in theory he should work perfectly like this. His best season where he got 31 in the league he also had dribbly fast players behind him who were primarily creators like Dembele Pulisic or Reus. ESR is on a decent streak but neither him nor Saka or Ode are prolific or selfish, Arteta (or better yet a new coach) needs to work on attacking patterns and drills and we should be good in theory.

It makes such a difference to have a player with his high technical ceiling in there, doesn't it.

A lot of nonsense has been said about Maitland-Niles over the last two years, but barring Partey I think he's our best midfielder right now. There's no way he should be riding the bench behind guys like Xhaka and Lokonga.

he was definitely quality. Commentators gave him MotM. It's perhaps unfortunate that he appears about the same level as Sambi despite being older by two years, but he's worth that third CM spot.

FWIW thought Elneny did a good job when he came on too.
