It was his first start in four months. He's extremely inexperienced and rusty as hell, when he got a run out early on he looked better than Tierney did for large parts this season.
Problem is regardless of either player with the coach and our horrible squad management, our bench is useless 9 out of 10 matches and whenever we rotate we look like deer in headlights. I'd still argue Tierney is a bigger problem than Tavares, his injuries are not whatever but a massive hindrance to us and would be even if he were the best full back in the world. I just checked transfermarkt and it says he's missed 80 matches or 421 days so far in his career and that's before his latest surgery. Absolutely shocking record for a 24 year old.
