Don Pacifico I think that does him a disservice. Positionally, I think he's the smartest defender we've got. Easy to forget how much dirty work he does covering when our LB is nowhere to be found.
Agreed. He may not look as silky on the ball as Saliba but he's easily on par, or at the least not far off, when it comes to on the ball build up and passing. But for me he's our best defender overall and I feel we will really suffer if he's out for any extended period of time. And that's coming from someone who was clamouring to bring in Saliba much earlier because he was just that good on loan (who we will also suffer without for any extended period). Both are pretty much the best defenders in the PL for me. Not sure there is anyone else I'd take in the PL.
Gazza M not at all. he's been one of my favourite players since the day we signed him, even admidst some doubters in the early days
Yeah, I was one of those early on, but he proved my initial impressions of him were wrong and won me over not long after.
