Really felt Smith-Rowe was our best player today. It's easy to focus on his attacking contributions in a game like this but his work ethic was spot on too. Villa threw on Bailey and I think he touched the ball five times because The Smith kept cutting off all his space.

We dominated shots at goal and possession.
Disappointing end to the game in that we didn't manage a shot after they scored.

what happened to Villa this season though? They used to press so much better but we cut through it so easily now.

Goal aside, where we could've done better but it was just a really good strike, the defence has been excellent. All three of Tomi, Gabriel and Benny have switched play so well.

wasn't really a 4-4-2 though. Laca was very much playing as a 10 in a 4-2-3-1.

I'm still vibing to your White in midfield dastardly plot Anz. I think it depends on who is going to for Leicester this weekend but I'd imagine if Ødegaard occupied the same/similar zone rather than deeper and right side (something Gazza M, goon and quite a few others have spoken around), I'd like to think its a decent next deployment. Laca offers fight, political craft and a bunch of others apart from scoring threat.

Yeah I question what it was exactly.
I'm still vibing to your White in midfield dastardly plot Anz. I think it depends on who is going to be fit for Leicester this weekend but I'd imagine if Ødegaard occupied the same/similar zone rather than deeper and/or left side (something Gazza M, goon and quite a few others have spoken around), we'll survive as well. In time, thrive.
