Yeh, he's a fairly good player but he never kicked into that gear people expected him to when he was young. At this point I don't think he has it in him. He's 25 next month and life is too comfortable as a bit player at City. He can probably score 20 PL goals in a season at some point for the right club, but I think Eddie can do that too and we're not backing him at the moment.
We need someone who's either younger and has more potential than Jesus, or someone who's older and more accomplished than him. He's the sort of bad compromise that Lacazette and Giroud were when we signed them: a player who is neither very young nor good enough to lead the line for a club with designs of belonging to the top.
