Normally I'd be clamouring for that, or any expensive signing at this stage of the window, but I'm sanguine about this month.
I think with the squad getting a much needed break, the injury and covid situation easing up, Partey and Xhaka back together in midfield, even without any signings, I think we'll have a really good charge at top 4. And I trust Arteta and Edu to get the right players in this summer.
If the right player is there, one that we would choose to sign in the summer anyway, do it, definitely do it, but don't sign someone just for the sake of it or if they're not quite the right fit. We've had to struggle like mad to get rid of a ton of rubbish players as it is, let's not sign any more.
I'm really looking forward to watching pretty much everyone in this team in the second half of the season. More time together for Ødegaard, Smith Rowe, Saka and Martinelli is mouthwatering. And I pretty much love the rest of the team too: Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney, Partey - we've got the most quality we've had in a really long time. I can put up with 4 more months of Xhaka and Lacazette if that's how it has to be.
