I think that summary is very apt based on what I've seen of him too, mentalvortex.
I watched a bit of the Fiorentina game against Milan a few weeks back and what really stood out to me was how limited Vlahovic was creatively compared to Zlatan; even a 40-year-old Zlatan who, when he came on, scored twice and forced a third in off a defender. Milan's technical and creative ability instantly went up two notches. Vlahovic bagged a brace too I think and Fiorentina won the game, but those were more opportunistic goals. There's been talk of Vlahovic replacing Zlatan in a year, but Milan would have to start playing very different football, and they weren't comfortable doing that with Piatek.
Ultimately it's about what qualities you want. I think we already have guys with similar box abilities to Vlahovic, and if they got a proper chance to develop I'm of the opinion that they could score 20-30 goals in a season too. If we're looking for a more creative player then perhaps we have to look at Isak or someone similar. If we want really strong back-against-the-goal play (and I don't see why we would want that) then maybe again look elsewhere considering the price tag. The fee for Vlahovic makes me hesitate. I don't think we can afford to get that kind of transfer wrong again.
That is what scares me with Vlahovic.
If we can be consistent with our pressing, I would prefer a Lautaro or Joao Felix, who can beat a man and thread runners in, as well as score themselves.
To mix it up, if we can get someone in the vein of a Toney, then great.
A top false 9 would be my preference.
Hopefully Nketiah stays, as he would also bring a different skill set.
Who we sell is becoming vitally important, as if Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe all leave, that would free up a ton of money to be reinvested.
