Damn you autocorrect. You've betrayed me for the last time.
Seriously though, Vlahovic is a good player and he will come good. But I think he's very unlikely to do so unless they start using him in the box a lot more than they're currently doing.

Talk from Italy linking us to Martinez again. Considering he renewed his contract last summer I'd be surprised if we were interested unless he wanted out. I do wonder if we are looking at a change in role at CF.
Further links from Italy to Morata.
Then I saw this name listed amongst those youngsters we've missed out on signing during Arteta's tenure.
Don't recall having watched him at all but I wonder if he is an option.

He's been in bad form this season. Probably ready to move on to another team after all the interest in him. Not sure if he could play that CF role well.
Bottled this chance for Inter today:
I've gone off Lautaro, on closer inspection he neither has the touch nor the athleticism to play as a centre forward here.
Yeah I think he has to be reevaluated too. He's a tidy player but his ball manipulation is just not good enough in tight spaces to be elite, and he lacks the pace too. Those factors along with his tiny frame will put some form of level cap on his career.
The one Inter player who's undeniably top class is Skriniar, and I'd give anything to have that bastard. Absolute nightmare for anyone to play against. Without him the final result in the Inter-Liverpool match could have ended up looking like a tennis score last week.

Yeah, Inter has suffered defensively with De Vrij falling off and Bastoni being suspended, but Skriniar has been top class, thank god Spurs didn't get him.
Big shame to see Julian Alvarez going to City, recently scoring Aguero-esque goals: Streamable Video
For such a cheap too. Pity Edu don't know the argentinian market

One of my favourite options for striker and one I have wishlisted multiple times on here previously. Not the most physically blessed, but superb technique and great movement. Is a Lacazette +++ - he's probably not quite as talented as Benzema, but close.

Welcome back.
Saw this a couple of days ago. Probably houseboat but dam, Yes please! Would be the dream.
What he cost when they bought him doesn't really come into consideration for what we should pay for him, nor does it come into Atletico's consideration for what price point is the one where they'd be better off selling than keeping him.
Yeah I doubt the would get anywhere near that.. they still hold on for as much as they can and suspect it will probably be out of reach for us if we were interested, especially if one of the doped up clubs come in for him.

Generally speaking yes as they're sunk costs, in accounting terms however it definitely makes a difference. He was signed for 120m three years ago and still has four years on his contract, ignoring the effect of his salary on their books he's worth roughly 70m to Atletico. If they don't want to make a loss on him they have to sell him for at least that much.
Mikel Arteta has specifically asked for him to be signed
lol. he should also ask for tchouameni or pedri to be signed too
If we add Felix to this group...

Football London made an interesting observation that most of the CF names we have been 'linked' to play in a 2 man attack and not as a lone CF = Martinez, David, Osimhen, Felix. Ishak, DC-L & Schick play the lone CF role as does Lewandowski and Haaland.
I suspect DC-L will become our 1st choice if Everton are relegated and/or need to sell to raise funds as a result of the sanctions put in place re Usmanov who is currently a major sponsor and was involved re their stadium build IIRC.
I also think Broja is likely to also be high on the list with the uncertainty re CFC.
Must admit I am somewhat surprised we have not been linked to Dembele at Lyon nor Edouard at CPalace.
