Brugge generally was impressive, Vanaken has been for years and de Ketelaere also looks great but their best prospect for me is Noa Lang. No idea how Ajax let him go for just €6m but Brugge got a massive bargain in him.

Ajax had signed Antony and Kudus in the same time frame who can play in similar role and are also hugely talented players.

W.Ham with a 2-0 away win vs Dinamo Zagreb. Fair play to them - I would never have thought in a million years that Moyes could have driven this kind of sustained upsurge in the team. I thought he was a joke for the last decade or so.

To be fair it's a Zagreb team that lost four of its five best players. Still Moyes has done pretty well after all his post-Everton stints ended in tears. He's Glaswegian so he naturally looks 15 years older than he is but he's still only 58, he actually developed well as a manager these past few years.

Yeah. I am actually quite surprised how he managed to upgrade himself as a coach after failed stints at Sociedad etc. West Ham playing style is completely not Moyesy either, very continental and modern attacking.

Actually the biggest thing about him is that he is signing cheaper, good players like Soucek, Vlasic, Coufal, Kral etc from eastern europe rather than pay for English premiums which he usually does last time. He became smart and gambles on potential now

All those left-field signings point to a good Director of Football rather than Moyes channeling his inner Wenger and scouring Europe for bargains.

And I don't agree West Ham are continental, not when I've watched them. They're very British and very Moyes. They break quickly, hit Antinio early and defend in numbers and aggressively. They do it well. Just as Everton did in the last 4 or 5 years Moyes was their manager.

Moyes would certainly be doing a better job than Arteta is at Arsenal. Not surprised if West Ham finish above us again whilst we mess around with giving Arteta time to prove how shite he is.

Don't remember his Everton team pressing so aggressively like West Ham these days. Definitely wasn't his style at La Real and United.

Really looking forward to the Ajax match!

Ten Hag may not be charismatic but he sets up his teams well and they are a joy to watch. I hope to see him at Arsenal one day. With a bit of luck, I can see Ajax making at least the quarters (big clubs shouldn't underestimate them). Their positional play is of the highest quality IMO.

Tactics

Ajax are only leading 2-0 against Besiktas but it should have been much more. Total dominance so far. Still around half an hour to go, so Ajax might score more goals.

Hardly shocking, but there was such disrespect for PSG and way too much respect for City from the BT pundits.

The fact that City are a fully formed team that's been together for much longer might start to tell as the game wears on, but Neymar, Mbappé and Messi are levels and levels ahead of anything City have or have ever had. Grealish cost £100m but Neymar could play with one leg and still outperform him!
