He lost the dressing room, not entirely his fault. Major too c elements like Ozil and Luiz in there at the time. Still can't keep him on if the players won't play for him.
Yeah, the dressing room at that point had a fair few questionable characters in it. But as you said, if the players won't play for him, he can't be the manager. I think he's good, but he wasn't the right fit. It happens, Ancelotti didn't work at Bayern either and here he is, about to (knock on wood) advance into the semis.
