The whole team is broken. No wonder we never get any money for our players - Arteta has driven their value to the ground by either alienating them or putting them in a shit system. No surprise that the only player we'll get decent money for this summer is the one that was out on loan.

holding has been poor positionally too, but tierney cannot get sucked so far into the center of the pitch every single time. i mean, it is just entirely predictable, they have played the same way for 45 mins, and we keep making the same mistakes over and over again

He's being asked to do way too much. We expect him to get forward all the time but neither the midfield nor his winger covers him. He's having a poor game but there are reasons for it.

Don't think Holding has been bad at all, everything they've done has been at the expense of Tierney and Mari.

The likes of Smith-Rowe, Martinelli and Pépé are working their ass off. Holding, Lokonga, Soares switched on. It goes all undone given the poor strategic approach, lack of adaptability and the continued presence of long-standing deficiencies.
We're getting poor return with both the good and bad things accounted, and I am sorry but I now think we need a new manager right away, with Edu being given delayed termination. Thats such a shame to think at matchday 2.
Lokonga is also awful at defending. Not able to mark anyone or cover space. Easily beat one on one as well. He is a talented player, but we cant put him out there with Xhaka.

It must be nice to have coaches who identify team weaknesses and set their teams out to exploit them when possible. Two weeks in a row we've come against coaches and teams who played basic strategies to win. We're so easy to beat it seems
Tierney hasn't played well, but the left side issue is not all on him. Saka is not giving enough protection and ordinarily Xhaka would drift out from CM. Think Lukaku bullying Mari has panicked the rest of the team to occupy more of the middle leaving space for James out wide.
This aimless crossing is painful - don't think I can last a full season of this
