I love him. He’s got character and leadership and presence and tremendous skill. He’s still young and mistakes will come amd form may waver. But he’s got the balls to back himself. Long may he reign.
Yes I was disappointed that Emi had to go but in the circumstances at the time he had to go. The cash came in handy.
Hardly anyone - here and in the wider world - thought Ramsdale was a sensible decision. It was probably a bit of a risk but he was England’s third choice and had been player of the season at his two previous clubs. He was scouted by people at Arsenal who, as it turns out, have been pretty good at their job. Turns out professionals are most likely better at this than people on internet forums.
May I suggest just enjoying him. If you want to go back and worry about past goalkeeping decisions that’s your prerogative but I’m going to just enjoy watching Ramsdale, and this really enjoyable, backable, bunch of young lads play football. It seems they like each other and the environment they work in. We haven’t had that for some time so it’s nice to see.
