Thought he was good yesterday. For me, the biggest 'watch-out' was the parry of Kane in the second half. Luckily, Tomiyasu was there to cover and kick it into touch but on another day Son (?) would have gathered that up for another attempt on goal. It's one of those things that he needs to work on if he's to become an elite 'keeper and something that was identified before he joined because when he parries, he needs to push it into safer areas. Overall, good performance though.
Yeah I actually agree there. I think Leno pushes that out for the corner.
That said I don't think Leno stops the goal, maybe a top keeper on a good day does but I think most PL keepers aren't saving that unless they get lucky.
By the same token Leno has conceded at least 3 goals by parrying a shot/driven cross into the middle of his penalty area for an unmarked player to score. IIRC he's done it 2x v LFC and at least one other time but I can't recall the opposition.
If anything I'm impressed by Tomi being on the ball and anticipating looking to secure the ball to clear our lines, as too often our defenders have been guilty of ball watching in our area.
