He was our first record signing and held that record for years before Arshavin came. I remember being so excited by that transfer I couldn't sleep. A true wonder kid that everyone was interested and we got him.

There was this Ronaldo vs Reyes debate those days and Reyes started superbly for us (ignoring the OG at Riverside) better than Ronaldo. Then had that 2 goals against Chelsea, tore United apart singlehandedly at Cardiff and went on a great scoring run at the start of next season. Was superb in our UCL run too. All happy memories for me.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert

Clrnc Reyes was the best player in the league at the start of 04/05. Fuck me, what a massive talent.

He had the (almost) searing pace of Thierry with the vision and passing execution of Dennis.

Fullbacks were the most difficult. Always have a soft spot for Dixon as his testimonial was my first time at Highbury. Might end up being White if we win something big with him but opted for Lauren for now based on his part in the 02-04 teams. Left back was really tough and was tempted to go with a 3 at the back to avoid choosing one but Monreal probably just scrapes it from my time. Also really wanted Gilberto but couldn't leave Cazorla out or justify moving him to 10 over Bergkamp.

I really liked Kos but the way he left was sad. If our pair of CB isn't so good now he would be easily in the list. Sol had some mental breakdown too and my memories of him in the latter Arsenal career wasn't that fantastic.

Meatwad Wenger sacrificed his own legacy for the club. Without him we wouldn't have the Emirates and we'd look like chumps if we were still in Highbury. His biggest failing was he didn't stand up to Stan enough in those years and demand more investment.

the first 10 years were great, minus the bottle jobs in the league in 2002-03 league and 2003-04 champions league. but the next 10 were rough.

Clrnc currently my favorite footballer to watch. Everything he does - the combination of work rate, thinking ahead of everyone else, the technical quality, imagination, the efficiency. There are so many pieces he puts together in a way nobody else does.

Clrnc There's quite a good recent Athletic write-up on how Ødegaard quickly creates space when getting on the ball here.

Ødegaard's skill on the ball epitomises effectiveness over flashiness … he's absurdly good at head and body fakes based on his reading of the local play.

Claudius I can't even find a footballer that is similar. Maybe Iniesta with the footwork, but Odegaard has better vision and long passes.
