Yeah, was just typing up mine and had him included, though Monreal ran him close. Scarce pickings tbh, and although he was here such a short time, man was he a baller. Was gutted we replaced him with Cole and van Bronckhorst at the time but it wasn't long before got over it and Cole won me over (yuck, feel dirty even saying that with what came afterwards).

Sicario2 - Tier 1 that Nige goal btw, I bunked off work to watch that game. I rang in sick with a migraine - from the pub car park... Totally worth it for that goal!

Qwiss probably the closest one to mine. This is favourite team which is not limited to their time with us. It includes how they left as well so obviously no Cole, Fabregas or van Persie. Also like @RocktheCasbah it's only a matter of time before Gabriel/Saliba get in there is they can keep this shit up for a few more years.

Left backs been weird for us. I'd have White, Lauren, Dixon and Sagna all in my favourite list before I got to a left back.

Qwiss Winterburn gets in for me because that was my position as a kid (gives you a glimpse of how good a player I was/am - the good kids don’t play left back!).

Monreal is a decent shout but for me he lacks any real high points in his time.

I reckon in time Martinelli is more likely to replace Pires for me than Saka. Just love the chaos and mentality. No doubt Saka is the better player though. They’re both needing to add a few stand-out, core memories though. I read Pires’ name and instantly think of the Villa, Southampton and Liverpool goals amongst others - not quite there yet with the likes of Saka, Martinelli and Odegaard.

He was our first record signing and held that record for years before Arshavin came. I remember being so excited by that transfer I couldn't sleep. A true wonder kid that everyone was interested and we got him.

There was this Ronaldo vs Reyes debate those days and Reyes started superbly for us (ignoring the OG at Riverside) better than Ronaldo. Then had that 2 goals against Chelsea, tore United apart singlehandedly at Cardiff and went on a great scoring run at the start of next season. Was superb in our UCL run too. All happy memories for me.

Clrnc Reyes was the best player in the league at the start of 04/05. Fuck me, what a massive talent.

He had the (almost) searing pace of Thierry with the vision and passing execution of Dennis.

Fullbacks were the most difficult. Always have a soft spot for Dixon as his testimonial was my first time at Highbury. Might end up being White if we win something big with him but opted for Lauren for now based on his part in the 02-04 teams. Left back was really tough and was tempted to go with a 3 at the back to avoid choosing one but Monreal probably just scrapes it from my time. Also really wanted Gilberto but couldn't leave Cazorla out or justify moving him to 10 over Bergkamp.
