Rohit definitely a lot more keen to shoot now. I see it as him taking responsibility to win games, he's not afraid of losing possession now and it's moved him into a whole nother level.

I’d love to see his heat map for this year and compare it to last season. To my eyes, it seems like he’s playing much more centrally and that’s affording him better shooting angles and more opportunities in the box. In past seasons I felt he was a little wide as he favored the channel and creating, rather than finding a shot.

As for his goal yesterday, I absolutely loved how he set it up by using his touch to set the ball more centrally. As others have said, shades of Fabregas vs Milan.

MistaT haven't seen any heat maps myself, but it would surprise me if you were wrong about this. He doesn't seem to favour the right side as heavily as last season.

On additional thought, I think he’s added some strength and is trusting his body far more now. He seems really comfortable playing deeper and defending, which hasn’t been the case in past seasons or even earlier this year.

He still favours the right but I think the players have a better understanding of their positioning now. Before they were simply following instructions which resulted in a more literal execution. Now that they understand it, things are more fluid.

Good example is the way Saka receives the ball. Makes a little dart inside and White picks up on it immediately. Enables him to get the ball without being clattered. Happened a few times against Spurs and they couldn’t live with it. Not possible if Ode is in that space so he shifts infield or further forward. Clive pointed this out on Arsenal Vision weeks ago and it’s been happening more and more ever since.

Yeah agree. Think there has been quite a bit of that in the last few weeks/month. Noticing that there is more interchange of positions happening and who joins as the attacking 5. The system really is all second nature to them now which is great to see.

Still a bit hard to see, but I think Øde pretty much uses his right boot to spin the ball onto the top of his left toe where it sits for a fraction of a second before he lifts, rather than kicking it forward, with great accuracy, all while moving at high pace.

They showed a reverse angle slow-mo replay on the stream I watched. He didn't touch it with his right. It was basically an elastico through pass. Ridiculous. Dude's a footballing savant.

There's one thing doing that at home to Bournemouth when you're 2-0 up and another thing doing it in a highly charged game at 2-2 when you need a goal. A couple of superb first time switches of play too.

Thought he started the game a little too pumped up but as he settled down he was superb.
