i hope if/when laca leaves in the summer that odegaard is made the permanent captain

hes now the captain of the national team, and given his importance to our team in terms of linking play, and his work rate on the pitch, hes likely going to be a nailed on starter for a long time. i think he is the type that would relish the responsibility.

Superb footballer. Together with Partey he's the main reason our football has gone up a level. His understanding with Saka has come on leaps and bounds too, they're brining the best out of each other.

Yet again, a perfect example of how managers are bounded by the players at their disposal.

Uninventive, boring, can't coach an attack Arteta all of a sudden having an exciting and fluid attack just by having better players on the pitch.

They're our two most intelligent players, such a joy to watch them.

I hope Odegaard drifts to the left a bit more in the future though, teams will notice that our right side is where the danger men are. Either that or sign someone to replace Xhaka and combine with Martinelli on the other flank.

The big thing for me is the consistency of his performances - it's what you expect from a top player and what we weren't getting from Ozil in his last few seasons.

I guess the question for me now, is can he reach the heights of peak Ozil? I feel like the raw ability is there, he just needs to continue to increase his numbers at the business end of the pitch
