Today was big from him. Seeing Fernandes whinge and moan an hour later made me even more grateful that we have a captain that’s a great footballer, takes his role seriously and seems like an all around decent guy

Full credit to him for 15 goals (and more to come). Not sure I was aware that he was scoring at that rate throughout the season. I've been hard on him in a few of his weaker performances - which seems to coincide with playing teams with high intensity (particularly in both games vs Liverpool). Today he showed that he can hang, as Newcastle is comparable and he did great.

His improvement throughout the season has been great to watch. He has overcome his timidity in front of goal which was my greatest criticism of him. For someone with such obviously superior technique I've often wondered why he wouldn't take more shots in previous seasons. Confidence I guess? Anyway I expect even more next season as it seems he's finally understanding how he can best be effective for himself, and for the team.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert don't think that's true. He was quite deep when we don't have possession and is influential in our buildup play. Average position suggests otherwise too overall in the season, not just this match

If this guy can improve his one vs one finishing he could finish with be a 20+ league goal scorer, which is absurd for a midfielder.

It seems unrealistic for his finishing to be any more efficient. He's scored 15 goals from an xG of 9.

His long range shooting has been superb, takes advantage of all the bodies blocking the keeper and hits it hard and low.
