Tony Adams, countless of times on skysports that the chief scout at that time told him that. I think one of the reliable journos confirmed it too, can't remember it was Athletic or goal. Apparently we got it done really early.

I remain skeptical. I remember Bellingham being shown around Old Trafford a couple of years back, for example - they were all after him. And I'm sure we were too, but I seriously doubt he would have chosen to come here at around that point in time.

Far be it from me to defend a Bayern player but I don't think everyone who doesn't want to get a covid vaccine is an anti vaxxer. He's a 25 year old professional athlete ffs if he doesn't want to get one it should be his call. Funnily enough the insane public scrutiny put on him had changed his mind anyway and he was going to get one, that and his clubs announcement to actually stop paying his wages.
