We should still try for him . You think Inter will say no to a 70 million ?
Lautaro Martinez
Yep they will say no to 70m because after selling Lukaku they are only left with Lautaro as their only striker.
Either way, inter is signing Duvan Zapata as a replacement, Atalanta will try to sign Abraham
Where does that leave us?
Probably with Lacazette on a 3-year extension.
Would be funny if I didn’t think it might be a remote possibility.
Need to protect his market value you know.
Lukaku has no shame does he
I called the lacazette extension a year ago, citing the 'he's a great character in the dressing room' specious reasoning

Edouard?

Bidding war with Villa for Abraham.
I'm not a huge Abraham fan, but I'm pretty sure we'd end up a lot higher up the table with him rather than without him. If auba is showing anything in preseaosn training we wont be getting Abra. But if hes staying retired I'm not sure we have much choice than to break the bank for this guy. If Aubas not intrested here id just give them Auba for him. He'll be great for chelsea as the PL and CL trophies will motivate him. And by the time wear competing for PL and CL even in the best case scenerio auba will be finished and Abra will be peaking.

Thats what's bemusing to me. The way he was tossed about on loan etc. and even ignored again before his transfer to United.

That's ancient history. It's not as if they ignored him for some personal reason - they wanted a WC player in his position and now he is one, so he wants to go to a club that wants and appreciates that. Fair play to him.
What's fair play about that? Only reason I could appreciate is he wants to leave the racist Inter support but then again he's leaving for Chelsea. Beyond that he's been treated like shit there not once or twice, going back is just poor form all around.
Anyway he's just had his best season ever but I can see him declining soon. He's just 28 but he's been playing football since forever, he played a similar amount of games as Auba who's four years older. If the rent boys want to spend 130m on him that'd be a lot better than them getting Haaland

He may feel like he's got unfinished business, not only at Chelsea but also in the premiership in general.
Inter need to sell to reduce their operating costs by 60-80m, and selling either of Lukaku or Martinez allows then to do so. Whilst they could probably get more for Lukaku reports are they would prefer to keep him despite talk of having identified a replacement should he leave.

Latest talk is that move is based on Inter selling Lukaku and then signing Zapata as his replacement.
eurosport transfer reporter. also reckons spurs are sniffing around as well
The Times reporting that Spuds have had a bid accepted.
