Kel Varnsen I wonder how much is his own reticence to attack and how much is by instruction. In the games I have watched, he seems to hold set positions, generally plays the safer pass, and from an attacking perspective, doesn't create overlaps or advance into the box. He also strikes me as a one pace type of player i.e. he is not one for changing the tempo and or to go on lung busting run. Has been a solid defender but feel he is a bit wasted in games where we dominate the ball, due to lack of attacking threat.
I feel he can still improve a couple of levels, but not sure he will do so in our current setup. Either way, should Ben come back to his form pre-injury, we have two very good RBs to choose from.
