Bloody sad state of affairs that you can’t be positive about our prospects.
Fuck the lot of you.
I’m done here.
Calm down Dules, no need to tell anyone to fuck off. For someone who apparently believes in positivity so much, you seem to be getting a bit too upset that others don't necessarily share your optimism. If Arteta can get us to play like we did in the first half against Spurs when we play the 75% of the league we should be finishing above, people will begin to feel optimistic as well. Until then, I think we've all seen enough to decide what we feel.

What’s your take?
Honestly, I have no reason to wish Arteta fails but I also don't see anything in him to make me think he'll take us up a level. In his first year I was fully behind him and happy to see him make us more solid defensively and was willing to give him some time to fix the attacking patterns. Then he won the FA Cup which made me want to believe that he's onto something even more.
That horror run last autumn was disgusting and I'd pretty much had enough of him at that point but he stayed on. Once he dropped William and brought ESR into the team and we started playing some decent football I started to believe again, but those performances only lasted until the end of January, and despite winning some games towards the end, we never really looked to play anything other than boring, defensive football where the outcomes are decided on the margins against whoever we play.
So yeah, I don't think he has it in him to get us playing the type of attractive football we've all been missing and he doesn't seem able to win enough games consistently enough to win us the title or bring us back into the CL. I'm not going to pretend that I believe in him when I don't however if he does manage to get us playing proper, dominant football against the teams below 7th in the table fairly consistently, I'll happily change my opinion.
