Looks like Balogun also scored in that game. Can't find the goal though.
Good on them. Neither will make it with us mind

Good stuff from both our loanees.
Must be the first time he didn't sky it into row Z with one of his right foot efforts
Thanks Quincy & Ricky!
Good instinctive finish from Balogun. Hopefully a debut goal will give him a bit of confidence and he can get a some starts.
He scored with his right foot on his debut for us too.
Looked a bit indecisive for Balogun’s goal. You could see he was caught between the ball and the man behind but he needs to communicate better with those around him. Can’t be standing off and letting a cross like that come in the Premier League. Or in France for that matter given the outcome there.

Have to imagine he’s 4th choice CB, and will have very limited mins this year.
I have forgiven Holding since he let Sterling beat him in the air to win a header and score against us a few years ago. That was the biggest red flag ever.
Tavares will play further forward eventually. Not sure it will be for us, but he's a real handful and physical specimen.

Haha what a spot on description of him
That’s why he’s better as a winger or wingback. Certainly not a LB.
Obviously Arteta doesn't want a full back like that though and doesn't want to play with wing backs. Its hard to understand why we signed Tavares in the first place.
"bizarre balls across own half" yup... 😆
that's a stellar stat card - any highlights?
Great to see these loans starting out well. Lets hope they can all find a bit of consistency and remain important players for the season.
Good sign when a player goes straight in, especially into a position like midfield. Fans love him already.
Can't find video of Patino's match against Barrow, but this was his debut last weekend against Stoke:
[Twitter] Blackpool fans already have a song for him: [Twitter]
Saw Blackpool fans raving about him last night, saying he is the only person that can hold his head up high. Wonder how bad their team was.
Anyway, great little clip ricky. Those kind of awareness, turns and first touch you can never teach Xhaka
It's amazing how such relatively simple turns open up the whole pitch. I wonder if he's going to be more of a 6 in the long run. The passing ability and the ability to turn is a massive part of that role.
