Classic U23s Balogun. Great to see he's doing well.

From my 30 mins watching Middlesborough vs Chelsea, thought that Balogun looked physically weak and very passive. Didn't really see anything to suggest he can have a physical or consistent impact in a game.

Loved his goal from mid week, but hope he's learning that there's 90 full minutes to compete in.

I was on wrong on Balogun, thought he would be a lot better than he’s shown. Kind of been average and meh for Boro by all account and from some of the FA Cup games I’ve seen him play for them.

Still very young and of course can improve but he’s not generational talent level.

You guys need to get over the idea that all talents should instantly be able to make an impact at senior level, especially in positions like CF. Kane went on 4 underwhelming loans and had a 5th season on the fringes of the Spurs first team (looking thoroughly average) before suddenly bursting into life.

What's important is that Balogun is getting starts for a Championship team making a serious challenge to get into the play off places, scoring 2 goals and getting 2 assists in the process, a dozen games into his first real taste of senior football.

Not everyone is gonna be Saka or ESR. If he turns out a useful player for us, he’d have done well.

Doubt he'll come back but with Europe league ( 🙁 ) he might be useful. Still only 22. Depends who leaves in the summer.

Apparently Feyenoord are looking into taking him on loan next season again. If he can find some stability there I think it would be an excellent choice. Get him to renew this summer and send him back. He'll still only be 23 next summer and then we'll have a clearer picture of how his career might pan out. With Nelson the issue has always been motivation, but the potential is massive.
