He is really interesting. Reminds me of Kerrea Gilbert. Young, raw but pacy and powerful.
Was that supposed to be a compliment? 😆
Patino looks interesting, he reminds me of Mark Randall, and Hutchinson a young Quincy Owusu-Abeyie.
😆
It was meant as a compliment. Gilbert was super exciting when he first broke through, looked so good I remember there were a couple of A-M posters account named after him.
Mark Randall is shite, would have been better if you used Lansbury. I will give you Quincy, since someone here named their account after him too. He was talented no doubts.
Gilbert played like one game for us v Wigan in the semi final of the Carling Cup at Highbury in Jan 2006 (which we lost over two legs). Assisted Henry for his goal I think.
Lansbury should have been much better than his career has proven, was highly rated as a youth player coming through. He always can say he scored again Spurs though.
Have seen highlights of his time at Lincoln - definitely impressive. Anyone who's watched more of him think he can take Cedric's spot next season or is he not at that level yet?
Kerrea Gilbert, Henri Lansbury, Mark Randall, Fran Merida, Justin Hoyte, Gavin Hoyte, Arturo Lupoli, Ryan Smith, Quincy, Jay-Emmanuel Thomas, Rhys Murphy, Sanchez Watt, Craig Eastmond... some amount of talent we had coming through back then

I remember thinking Randall looked great the first few times I saw him 😆
Luckily my posts on him are nothing more than a distant memory, would hate for Gunner89 to repeatedly bring it up.

I remember a young Goon was fuming at the Arsenal FM researcher for not rating Lupoli high enough, especially his lack of pace. Think I called for him to be sacked on the FM boards 😆
I don't think there'll ever be as big a mismatch between actual and perceived ability amongst Arsenal fans as Ryan Smith
The Hoytes' were utter crap. Can't believe one of them lasted so long with us, everytime he played we are like 1 man down. Same for Watt and Eastmond, we knew they were not at the required level very early on.
Merida is still doing well. Was lost after he left Atleti for a few years but his class is showing again late in the career. Still playing in La Liga.

I mean, making a 300+ appearances in the Championship is a solid career. Nothing wrong with that, and far more than most academy players will ever make.Â
Can't believe you left out Frimpong.
Dench.
Good attitude to be fair. With the hype and price tag it's easy to forget how young he is, especially for a centre back.
Especially if they're a bunch of deadly strikers arriving into the Prem next season, I'd feel infinitely better if we had him in the ranks. So difficult 1v1.
He’s learning. He’s at a good place to do that as well. With European football next season it’ll be the right time to bring him in.
I mean that's why we sent him on loan ... though that remains a bit controversial. If I were him I'd be watching our progress and thinking it'd be a pretty great challenge to take on White and Gabriel for a starting place. I guess we'll see what the club decides in summer, though.
There was nothing controversial about it. The criticism was easily the most nonsensical I've ever heard levied against the club. Guy was a 18 year old defender with 19 top flight games to his name. The right decision was always to send him out on loan where he could rack up 100's of appearances, gain valuable experience, iron out his flaws and return a more seasoned pro ready to challenge for a starting spot.

He will be licking his lips at the chance to play in the Champions League. Can't wait to have him back! I reckon Arteta will take him up a level or two very quickly because he's so demanding and he'll give him a reliable strurcture and pattern in the build up play.
