Goodstuff. My eldest son is five and has only recently started footy sessions. Not going to put any pressure or expectations on him but I would like to help him along if I can, if only so he gets more satisfaction and enjoyment from playing.
Personally think all the standard drills most coaches use are too basic and crude in their nature. What would you guys say are the most important things to influence their game positively?
For me other than attitude I’d look to focus on ball control and reading of opponents motions to allow them to react. Basically have them watch Modric and Xavi clips on repeat!
