Finished the series.. Overall was pretty meh, interesting seeing the dressing room interactions but that's about it..

Those last 2 episodes were depressing though.. Feel like the 3 losses against Palace, Brighton & Soton is were we really threw it away.. squad depth was exposed, the Auba situation & better squad management were important factors... some of it was out of our hands but Arteta/Edu/Management should look at what happened an really take learnings...

Well, as I think I observed previously, the show has definitely left room for us all to interpret characters and incidents as we see fit.

You've got your take, I've got mine. But what I will say is, if you're right and Arteta really has no sense of humour, he isn't going to last very long in this management game cos I don't know you'd survive it without one.

Odegaard has said that he felt a bit restricted when the cameras were around, which isn't surprising. Not specifically surprising about him but there were always players who were going to feel uneasy being in the spotlight like that.

There was talk he didn't say much until late in the break as he wanted the players to work it out themselves together, and he preferred to have a quiet word with individuals about their game. I recall one story where he didn't say anything until about the time to go back on the pitch, and he then went to the board and wrote a few things down and said 'if you do this you can win', and then they went and did it and won. Key take away point being that he kept it simple and he also made sure that his voice/input was the last thing they heard before going back to the game.
That is not to say he didn't blow up at half time, but he didn't do it very often.

I remember ex players said Wenger team talks were the best, very intelligent and insightful. Different level and mostly very calm.

I remember Fabregas saying Wenger exploded once at HT (I think 1-0 down at Anfield when we came back to win with Arshavin scoring top corner), and he'd never seen him like that.

When Wenger got asked about it he said Cesc shouldn't have said that, and he looked like he was going to go back in and shout again 😆

Conversely, in the last few years of Wenger it was maddening how often we would start very slowly and/or be losing at half-time and see no reaction at the start of the second half.

I think it's largely about the players you have. We have a really young and inexperienced squad that need a lot of guidance and, at times, motivation too. If Arteta is still here and the squad progresses as we all hope, I highly doubt he'll be pulling out light bulbs and drawing hearts and brains when the average age of the squad is 27 and they have 200 games - and hopefully a load of trophies - together under their belts.

You could tell. He was very quiet and they never made him a central focus like they did with Saka, Xhaka,ESR, Ramsdale, etc You'd wonder what he's like in the dressing room without the cameras around. I'd imagine he's much more outspoken.

The Arteta half time speech at West Ham away was my favourite bit of the entire show. He has an aura about him, an aura that only top manages do. I don’t get this same feeling when Ten Hagg speaks for example, he seems wooden (appreciate English is not his first language but body language is international).

In the documentary, Arteta has come across really well and perhaps this is another reason which has led to our good will this season and the fans being unified. A lot of have bought into him.

Two of my Arsenal supporting mates (both have season tickets) were the two biggest ‘Arteta out’ you will ever meet (made Jones look like Marry Poppin’s in comparison).

After watching All or Nothing they have completely u-turned and are hailing Arteta as someone who is destined for greatness! This could also coincide with our good pre-season, transfer window and start to the season of course.

I think they were inspired by his passion and love for the club which is crystal clear in the documentary.

It’s actually quite surprising how so many have backed the team like they have done over the summer and in the beginning of the season considering we fucked the end of last season so bad.

When we finished 5th under Emery in 2019 we didn’t have the sort of feeling. Maybe they know Arteta is the one and All or Nothing backs this up.

As someone who feels more positive towards Arteta than many others, I found the team talks cringe. But then I see that other (successful) managers also have a cringe factor about them and I wonder whether the objective is to simply get players to pay attention (hence the gimmicks).

The comparison with Wenger feels a false one - I don't think there is one right way of being a manager, so the fact his style was different is irrelevant to me. My hunch is that the team talks players buy into are the ones where they end up getting a positive result more often than not, regardless of how cogent, insightful (+ other positive adjectives) they were in actuality. Potentially diminishing the role team talks play in getting results but I'd suggest there are much bigger bets, longer term strategies that aren't as theatrical that influence our end product more.

Managers at top clubs do this 50 times a season. There is only so much you can do to either not be repetitive or cringeworthy when you are trying to invoke a response from players over and over again. The only correct style is one to which players respond.

One of the absolute highlights of the show was Steve Round showing Laca clips of Benzema, I literally burst out laughing when I saw that.

Yeah me too. Felt very weird. None of the players looked very engaged with those video sessions, but again it could be the presence of cameras.

Carlos Cuesta trying to tell White how to defend was the best one. Whites looking at him like "what the fuck would you know you're 23 and never played at this level".

Very few genuine moments other than from Arteta, Xhaka, and a couple of others here and there. Can't help but feel it was an obstacle for both coach and players to deal with the cameras. Interesting enough to watch for a fan, but hard to imagine it was worth it.
