something to do with appeasing the juve cabal, as they do way more frequent business together. have to remember juve basically run Italian football. might be worth it to sassuolo take a bit of a financial L in the short term to preserve the relationship and also fulfil locatellis wishes. our bid to Sassuolo would have be worth them invoking juves ire, basically

Other than Vito Mannone, how many Italians actually played for us? I remember Lupoli who smashed it for the youths but never played for the first team and Niccolo Galli (RIP). We don’t do Italian. They also don’t travel well in the Premier League generally so that could be a concern when you splash big money on a Locatelli, as good as he is.

I think Lupoli played for the first team in the league cup a couple of times but I could be wrong.

On the other hand, I can't understand why we wouldn't be interested. It's rumoured that the price is €40m. We're spending almost €60m on White and the only way people can rationalize that transfer is by saying it must mean we have plenty of money for other signings.
