Don't see it. I think they're at the same level, of course one has PL experience, but I think we need someone who can play centrally or out wide. Maddison would hinder ESR at the price he is coming at.

I don't necessarily disagree with that; I just think one of them is clearly a good player while the other one is a bit shit, and the possibility that he might be available for less money doesn't make him less shit.

We really should have signed Buendia, but what's done is done.

I wouldn't mind Aouar but only because I'd see him as back up to ESR. He'd have to agree to wages that represent that though.

Regardless that I rate the guy, we need to be careful not to overspend. 60 mil is a bit much, we could possibly get better value elsewhere. E.g. isn't it possible to sign Locatelli for 60-70 mil?
