He may be able to play out from the back but he can’t win a header. Defence has to be the first priority for a central defender. With him he either plays in midfield or a 3 man defence..
How far away are Gabriel and Partey?
Both back after the international break
Excellent.

24m fee + 6m add ons... Sigh why are we so stupid.
30m pounds for him making him one of the most expensive keepers. Amazing flexing by us
Pleased to get him in. Different type of keeper to Leno and will provide great competition.
Feels like we could have spent half the amount on a better keeper, but here's to hoping this guy explodes and becomes the next Seaman for us.
You don't fool me with your positivity Dules, I've seen what you actually thought about Ødegaard compared to what you started saying when it was clear we'd sign him. 😆
Would be nice if he turned into a new Seaman though, or even a new Emi.
I genuinely like him. Has presence and agility.
Yeah, keepers do come good late. Just hope those in charge have an eye as hard as that is to trust right now. Sign a right back and center forward of note and this will be a good window despite the failure to replace Xhaka. That can wait another window.
I have a very uninformed opinion on Ramsdale's quality, but I'm not impressed by this at all. He looks like a slightly less retarded Jordan Pickford to me.
I just hope he's better with his feet than Leno.
What worries me is that Sheffield played a very unambitious type of football so where would the scouts get the idea that he's good with his feet? They don’t play out the back at all from what I've seen.
Hope he fails his medical.

They played out a lot with their back three under Wilder.
So 70M between a defender and a GK. This is plain stupidity.

It's what happens when you have stupid people in charge.
Wouldn't necessarily mind signing a goalkeeper as long as it was a great one. A year ago 20m was the going rate for an Emi Martinez, wouldn't be unhappy about a signing like that.
I'm really not massively loving this signing. I don't know a whole load about him but my perception is not great. You have to hope the club knows what is doing but I don't really feel that confident in that either. But with these acquisitions Arteta has been backed in the market.
Feels like a shocking transfer but I have to say I’m really rooting for him to be a success (more so than usual), lad is already receiving a ton of abuse. the Twitter element of this fan base is as toxic as it gets.
