He meant Barkley but I don't think they are similar at all. Barkley is a number 10

Watching this makes me realise how good of a shape we have gotten our team into. There's really not much quality out there, and these are two of the better sides.

I would put very few of them into our XI.

Out of curiosity who will you take out of these 2 assuming we have to play the same formation?

I think CF is our obvious weakness and Antonio/Daka both are upgrades.

Perreira just came back from a long term injury but he used to be a very excellent CB. Ndidi, Rice are obvious picks too IMO. Maddison has his injury problems but on his day he is top too.

The rest will probably be very good squad players for us like Bowen, Benrahma.

Antonio for Lacazette. But I don't think there's much in it at all.

Rice or Ndidi for Xhaka. Not a huge fan of either, though they are good players, but Xhaka is Xhaka.

I'd have taken Tielemens too but ever since his lack of athleticism was pointed out to me all I see is him lumbering around the pitch struggling for breath.

I'd have Xhaka over Tielemans. The Belgium is the better player technically, but he's somehow slower and a horrible, lazy little shit most of the time to boot.

Tielemans is three or four levels above Xhaka in every conceivable way I reckon. It's like comparing a hotdog to a dog turd lying in the street. There's fancier food around, but one's still edible and the other's a turd. Don't let the similar shape confuse you.

Tielemans can't tackle or run, his touch is much better than Xhaka's, and he passes much quicker than the Swiss, but I don't think there's much between them overall. Maybe I'm being influenced by his punchable face, but I'm no big fan of Xhaka either.

I have to say that I don't really get what sort of team Rodgers is trying to build at Leicester? It's all a big mess and they seem to have gone a couple of windows now without signing good players that fit whatever the identity and style of the team is supposed to be. I don't think Rodgers has that vision, and you need your manager to have it no matter how good your recruitment is.

I think it's the same 4-2-3-1 system he always uses. It has known strengths and weaknesses but when you have so little squad depth you'll end up with a really shit season every now and then. Remember the season after they won the league and looked like they were about to get relegated for a few months?

They probably expected to sell both Maddison and Tielemans this summer and reinvest, but the market wasn't quite there. An aging Vardy on top of everything else isn't helping. I reckon they're in for a tough couple of seasons now with or without Rodgers, partly because other teams around them have either more money (Everton, Villa) or much better managers (Brighton). That's not a ringing endorsement of him obviously, but I also don't think he's responsible for the way they look. I just think he's a bit irrelevant in the bigger picture.

I'm glad the Leicester balloon is steadily deflating to be honest.

Can't fucking stand them these past 6 years. I think it's mostly due to that ugly rat rejecting us after they won the league with a smug fucking grin when he confirmed it at a press conference.
