Apparently the PL has said that they will allow the Saudi Arabia takeover of Newcastle in January if they can prove that no one from the Kingdom will be on their Board. I know there is a view that says that in any case, the billionaires have taken over and everything else now is a matter of degree rather than kind, but I somehow think this is the bottom of the barrel. I really hope this doesn't happen, but feels more and more like there is sufficient pressure on the PL to push it through. Will be sad to have 3 petro clubs, of whom 2 are backed by entire countries, in the league.
