Tbf, Liverpool should have won the game handily. Salah should get a dressing down in the dressing room for that inexcusable arrogance on the one-v-one. Fair play to Brentford, but Liverpool play us and they're not going to be dicking around like that.

Liverpool scored 3 goals. I wouldn’t call that dicking around. And it’s not like they were ever 2 or 3 goals clear, and lost focus. They knew they were in a game from the first minute to the last. I’d rather give credit to Brentford for not giving up than criticize Liverpool or Salah for one or two missed chances.

That just seems a ludicrous stat. Beyond mad. 23 penalties in 18 months! 12 months of actual football! How do they get them? And I know he's nicknamed Penandes, but I didn't realise it was that many.

Martinez is a brilliant character. Loved the little dance he did in front of the Man Utd fans after the penalty miss.

Just watching the highlights of United's defeat, how on earth did Mike Dean not give a freekick and send Maguire off for bringing down McGinn as last man? It's scandalous. Maguire is so so bad. He gets way too many plaudits, United get way too many plaudits. McGinn, by contrast, is decent.

Only time Macguire looks decent is when he's part of a back 3. Horrible waste of money.

Maguire has had a bit of a Mustafi development hasn't he. Looked great at Hull and Leicester, and it turned out that might've been his level. He lives off his leadership skills on the pitch to an unmatched degree and I'm not sure those are needed anymore now that they've got Varane.

He also lives off getting away with almost everything. Him, Bruno and Kane probably have the worst actual fouls to fouls given against them ratios in the league.

Can't see the clip you've posted but I've seen the Villa game and he was atrocious again. If refs called the ridiculous amount of fouls he pulls off every game unchecked he'd be in League One. Embarrassing how he almost tore Hauser's shirt off in the opposing box then flung himself to the ground crying for a pen, easily top three most hateable players in world football this dickhead.

Yeah Maguires ridiculously overrated. He's best quality is that refs let him away with everything. He's decent at attacking set pieces too but as a defender he's mediocre.

To be honest I never thought he looked great at Leicester either, I was adamant we shouldn't sign him and that was when I thought he'd cost about £30-40m. That oafish quality he has was always there, just didn't get exposed as much in deep defences where he could just head the ball away all the time and look dominant, while people pay less attention to the subtle nature of his fuck ups.

Dislike Maupay but he came across quite well post match when speaking to Henry. Was like a little kid talking to his uncle. Called him Mr Henry at one point.
