Selling Willock looks better by each passing week.
It looked good at the time too, for anyone who watched him play for Newcastle last season. The goals were doing a pretty good job of masking his 14 passes a game. He still hasn’t figured out how to involve himself, so as soon as the goals dried up he was always going to find it tough to influence games. Was the same story his whole PL career with us.
The debate, if there even should’ve been one, around whether or not it was a good decision was over as soon as we turned around and paid for most of Odegaard with what we got for Joe.
Didn’t stop kids online photoshopping Willock behind bars with players like Saliba, Pepe and Martinelli (lol).
